About the Event

Event has been rescheduled for THIS SUNDAY!

Join us at a free, outdoor family movie event as we launch the world premiere of the mini movie “Tall Timbers - The Bridge that Saved the Swan River”. The movie showcases the history of Fremantle’s heritage listed bridge repurposed as Perth’s newest tourist attraction - the beautiful pedestrian and cycling Perth Highline.

Bring a picnic and meet us on the grass at the Southern end of Fremantle Traffic bridge, J Dolan Park, Riverside Drive, East Fremantle

5:30 - 6:30pm. Movie screening starts at 6 pm.

The mini movie was made by more than 35 professional film and acting volunteers over the past 5 months and was directed by an international award winning film director.

You will have a chance to meet the founders the Save the Old Fremantle Bridge Alliance & Fremantle Society - groups dedicated to saving the old Fremantle bridge from its planned destruction by the State Government this year despite the 90 year old bridges top heritage listing.

We look forward to seeing you there!
